Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s largest organization for girls ages 5-17. The organization’s mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Scouting provides girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem and providing a dialogue of acceptance and respect.
Additionally, the Galveston-Houston Archdiocesan Committee on Girl Scouting is committed to fostering the spiritual development of the Catholic Girl Scouts in this Archdiocese and the development of youth ministry in the Catholic Church by providing programs for Brownies through Ambassadors to earn Catholic religious recognitions.
