Additional information about our Masses
Children's Liturgy of the Word
St. Rose Parish has a thriving Children’s Liturgy of the Word for children seven years old and younger. The children’s liturgy, during the 10 am Sunday Mass, is held in the church’s chapel. Children are invited to come before the first reading and then are led to the chapel for a lively discussion about the readings in which the rest of the congregation is participating. A team of leaders guide children on the meaning of the liturgy in a thoughtful, age-appropriate way. Children return to their parents after the homily.
Youth Mass / Life Teen Mass
St. Rose Parish holds the Youth-oriented Mass each Sunday at 5 pm. Modern Christian music is incorporated into the mass and many of our teen and college students participate by delivering the mass readings, bringing up the gifts and serving as altar servers. Parishioners of all ages attend this mass.
Special Assistance at Mass
Head phones are available for those with difficulty hearing. St. Rose Parish ushers are available to assist you with your special needs. The facilities at St. Rose are wheelchair accessible, including the church, Parish Hall, East and West Halls. Handicap parking is conveniently available in the north and south lots.
Babysitting
Babysitting is currently not available at St. Rose of Lima. When available babysitting is for children ages 1-4 year old in a school classroom near the playground during the 10 am Sunday mass. Drop-off starts at 9:45 am and pick-up is by 11:15 am or directly following Mass and parents must provide all necessities such as diapers, wipes, snacks (nut free) bottles, sippy cups, etc.
