St. Vincent De Paul
The St. Vincent De Paul Society of St. Rose of Lima is part of a larger international and Archdiocesan ministry that follows in the footsteps and spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul, who sought out and assisted the poor in his own time. Receive phone messages from Friends In Need at our message center, 832-320-4181. The Society provides financial assistance (rent, utilities and medical expenses), food, clothing, and/or spiritual support, and other assistance as deemed necessary.
In addition to monetary support, the St. Vincent de Paul Society operates the St. Rose Food Pantry.

A group of dedicated volunteers operates our Food Pantry as part of the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society. Vincentians pick up food from the Houston Food Bank, keep the pantry shelves stocked and work with clients. Others deliver groceries to senior citizens who are unable to come to the pantry.
Donations of non-perishable food and toiletry items can be dropped off at the pantry itself or through the parish office. Monetary support is also much appreciated and can be made through the parish office or you can find our “Gift of Love” collection in the church pews.
Visit the pantry yourself to witness the Lord’s work. The Food Pantry is located directly west of the church on Brinkman Street. Parking is available in front of the Food Pantry or along the side streets.
Gabriel Project

During this time of uncertainty, the Gabriel Project continues its ministry to our mothers in need. If you would like to assist this ministry through time or donations, please contact Ana Zamarripa.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a difficult pregnancy, please call 713-225-5826.
Kolbe Prison Ministry
Kolbe Prison Ministry is a 501C3 organization based out of the San Antonio Diocese. It’s mission is to share the agape love of Jesus Christ with those in prison and to teach the fullness of the truth of the Catholic Church to the incarcerated. To achieve this mission, retreats very similar to ACTS, are conducted inside of state and federal prisons. A core team, based out of St Rose, conducts these retreats and follow up, in four prisons located in the Tyler diocese. Typically, (2) three-day retreats each year per unit are conducted. No previous experience inside of a prison is required although having attended an ACTS retreat is helpful. Contact Bill Whitefield or Mike Cutaia for additional information.
