Here I Am Lord
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few; so, ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.’” (Mt 9:37-38). “But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?” (Rom 10:14).
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, the above passages tell us about the necessity of people dedicated to the ministry of Jesus and His church. It is our responsibility to pray, support, and encourage vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate, and religious life.
One of the most important ministries of our parish community is the Vocation Ministry. Some of the responsibilities of this ministry include:
· To pray for our priests, deacons, and religious.
· To pray for vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life.
· To support, encourage, and help our children to discern their vocation.
We had a Travelling Crucifix ministry in our parish. Due to Covid-19 situations we could not continue it. Now it is time to restart it with a small change. We are re-introducing it as a Travelling Chalice ministry starting on Saturday, August 20 @ 5pm Mass (St. Rose Weekend).
How can you help?
· Think and pray about being a member of the Vocation Committee.
· Receive the Travelling Chalice in one of the Masses, take it home and pray for vocations from Sunday to Friday (Prayers will be provided with the Chalice). A sign-up sheet will be provided at the entrance of the church.
· Bring it back on Friday before 4pm to the parish office.
Let us continue to pray for our Pope Francis, bishops, priests, deacons, and all lay ministers in the church. Praying for all our families and for the whole world. God bless you.

“Luego dijo a sus discípulos, ‘La cosecha es abundante, pero los obreros son pocos; por lo tanto, pídele al amo de la cosecha que envíe obreros para su cosecha.’" (Mt 9:37-38). "Pero, ¿cómo pueden invocar a aquel en quien no han creído? ¿Y cómo pueden creer en aquel de quien no han oído hablar? ¿Y cómo pueden oír sin alguien que predique?" (Rom 10:14).
Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo Jesús, los pasajes anteriores nos hablan de la necesidad de personas dedicadas al ministerio de Jesús y su iglesia. Es nuestra responsabilidad orar, apoyar y alentar las vocaciones al Sacerdocio, Diaconado y la vida Religiosa.
Uno de los ministerios más importantes de nuestra comunidad parroquial es el Ministerio Vocacional. Las responsabilidades de este ministerio son:
· Orar por nuestros sacerdotes, diáconos y religiosas.
· Orar por las vocaciones al sacerdocio, diaconado y la vida religiosa.
· Apoyar, animar y ayudar a nuestros hijos a discernir su vocación.
Tuvimos un ministerio de Crucifijo Viajero en nuestra parroquia. Debido a situaciones de Covid-19 no pudimos continuarlo. Ahora es el momento de reiniciarlo con un pequeño cambio. Lo estamos reintroduciendo como un ministerio de Cáliz Viajero a partir del sábado 20 de agosto, en la Misa de 5 p.m. (Fin de semana de Santa Rosa).
¿Qué tenemos que hacer?
· Piensa y ora acerca de ser miembro del Comité de Vocaciones.
· Recibe el Cáliz Viajero en una de las Misas, llévalo a casa y reza por las vocaciones de domingo a viernes (las oraciones se proporcionarán con el Cáliz). Se proporcionará una hoja de inscripción en la entrada de la iglesia.
· Tráigalo de vuelta el viernes antes de las 4 p.m. a la oficina parroquial.
Sigamos orando por nuestro Papa Francisco, obispos, sacerdotes, diáconos y todos los ministros laicos de la iglesia. Orando por todas nuestras familias y por el mundo entero. Que Dios te bendiga.
