Welcome to St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center

Nestled in the Garden Oaks neighborhood, north of the Houston Heights, St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center has been caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers since 1982. We are a licensed, year-round high-quality early childhood program that provides a safe and nurturing environment, while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children. Children can learn most effectively through a concrete, play-oriented approach to early education.

The goal of St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center is to provide a program that is developmentally appropriate and fosters a positive self-image.

  • Our Programs

    The ECC serves children ages six weeks through two turning three years old and offers both full-time and part-time programs that are year-round to accommodate each families’ needs.

  • Curriculum & Enrichment

    St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center uses the Frog Street Press Curriculum series for our infants, toddlers, and twos. The curriculums believe that children learn best through actively engaging with people and things in their environment. Children are involved in hands on experiences, real life adventures and assisted discovery as they explore concepts through play. 

    St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center is a place where essential readiness skills are nurtured through play, investigation and of course, fun! Additionally, each class attends music class with Ms. Stacie each week, as well as participating in Bible enrichment through the use of materials from Loyola Press’ “God Made the World” series.

    The ECC registers children to our program throughout the year as openings become available. Please call (713) 692-1941 to determine current availability. 

    If the ECC does not have availability in your child’s age group, we will be happy to add you to our wait list (free of charge) and will contact you as soon as an opening becomes available.
