Ordained in 2013, Deacon Ed has served as a Pastoral Associate at St. Rose since 2014 and, more recently, as Interim Business Manager for several years. Previously, he was the Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for 20 years.

His education includes a BA and post-graduate studies from UT Austin, an MA in Pastoral Studies from UST, and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and training at Texas Children’s and St. Luke’s Hospitals as a chaplain. "Building bridges, not fences” - going out into the community, listening to others, walking with individuals and groups, reaching out to those in need - are the hallmarks of his diaconate service.
