Come Pray for Our Sisters in Faith
Please join us as we gather to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the women of St. Rose of Lima. We will be lifting our sisters in Christ up in prayer, asking for God’s grace, peace, and profound renewal. Your spiritual support is a beautiful gift to the women of our parish. We hope to see you in the chapel on Friday, October 16th at 6:30 PM!
ACTS (Women) Retreat
About the ACTS Retreat:
The ACTS Retreat is a three-day, three-night journey that invites you to step away from the noise of daily life and encounter Christ more deeply through prayer, the sacraments, and community. Rooted in the heart of our parish, the retreat offers space for spiritual renewal, reflection, and a renewed love for the Eucharist. Along the way, you’ll form lasting friendships and return home strengthened in faith and mission.
Retreat Schedule & Fees:
The retreat begins Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall at St. Rose of Lima.
The retreat concludes on Sunday with a family fellowship lunch gathering at St. Rose of Lima immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass.
Round-trip transportation to and from the retreat center is provided for all retreatants.
The cost of the retreat is $275 per person. Financial assistance is available.
Registration is first come, first served, with a waiting list if needed.
A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remaining balance due two weeks prior to the start of the retreat. Please fill out the registration form at the link, and a team member will be in touch with you.

Autoimmune Friends in Faith (Inaugural Meet & Greet)

Living with a chronic autoimmune condition can be painful, exhausting, and isolating, but no one should have to walk this journey alone.
St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church is forming Autoimmune Friends in Faith, a new ministry offering fellowship, encouragement, and faith-filled support to individuals living with autoimmune conditions.
Participants are invited to attend the 5:00 p.m. Mass together afterward. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have lived with an autoimmune condition for years, you are welcome here.

Cards will be available in the Parish Hall after the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM Masses for anyone who would like to share a special note of thanks and appreciation. Pastoral Council Discernment Breakfast

You are invited to a special breakfast to learn more about serving on the St. Rose of Lima Pastoral Council. The Pastoral Council is a prayerful and consultative body that works alongside our pastor to discern the needs of the parish, develop pastoral priorities, and help advance the mission of our faith community.
During this informal gathering, you will have an opportunity to:
Learn about the mission and responsibilities of the Pastoral Council
Hear from current council members about their experience
Understand the commitment and expectations involved
Ask questions and meet other parishioners considering
service
Attending the breakfast does not obligate you to join the council.
Mass of Installation
You are warmly invited to join us for the Mass of Installation of Father Jacob Ramirez as Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Having faithfully served our parish community as parish administrator since July 2025, Father Jacob will be formally installed as pastor on Sunday, September 13, during the 10:00 a.m. Mass. The installation will be celebrated in the presence of the Episcopal Vicar of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, the Very Reverend Sean Horrigan.
Please join us for this joyful occasion as we pray for Father Jacob and celebrate this new chapter of pastoral leadership and service in the life of our parish.

80th Anniversary Celebration
Anniversary Mass & Gala Dinner Saturday, August 29th
We begin our celebration by gathering around the altar in thanksgiving to God, with a special Anniversary Mass celebrated by the Bishop. Following Mass, parishioners and friends of St. Rose are invited to continue the celebration with an unforgettable evening at The Bell Tower on 34th, honoring 80 years of faith, memories, and community.

Operation Backpack
This summer, St. Rose of Lima is partnering with the YMCA for Operation Backpack, a community-wide effort to provide backpacks to local students in need before the first day of school.
Our parish goal is to collect 100 new backpacks to help ensure children begin the school year with the supplies and confidence they need to succeed.
To make donating easy, two collection boxes will be available throughout the campaign:

Join us on Sunday, May 31, as we celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Fr. Jacob’s Ordination to the Priesthood. In conjunction with Taco Sunday(purchase tacos at the door!), the Altar Guild will be serving cake and punch in the parish hall following the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Masses as we give thanks for Fr. Jacob’s four years of faithful priestly ministry and service to the Church. Please join us in celebrating our pastor and praying for God’s continued blessings upon his vocation.
